Mother’s Day in the UK always falls on a Sunday. Until recently it was more traditionally known as Mothering Sunday, coinciding with the fourth Sunday in Lent.
Mothering Sunday is a day on which sons and daughters honour their mothers. Recognised by the Roman Catholic and Anglican Church, Mother’s Day is associated with family and celebration and a day when your Mum is relieved of the daily tasks and might even end up with breakfast in bed! Almost certainly each mum will receive a gift but what is the best gift for Mother’s day.
